And I feel like talking about it, anyway.
Okay, so the other day, I decided that I was going to dress up for Halloween. This is kind of a Big Deal, because I haven't done so in like... seven years. Plus, because I decided that I was going to be Kaylee from Firefly/Serenity, which means that there aren't really any pre-made costumes available.
Because I don't have the patience of all those cosplayers who sew their costumes by hand, this project is taking some ingenuity -- and it's become somthing like "What would Kaylee wear?" as opposed to "What Kaylee wore in episode 13 blah blah blah."
First off, because of my very small stature, it was next to impossible to find coveralls/a jumpsuit -- even when I looked in both women's and kids' sections. I finally managed to find this flightsuit. It's the right color, but the pockets are wrong, and I'll have to cut the sleeves off. I also spent way too much money on shipping to make sure it gets here in time. Oops. I also bought a red heart patch from Joann's and this teddy bear patch from eBay. I'm not sure if I'm going to do the flower patch or not; it looks like it's been crocheted, so I think I might make my own.
I also bought a long-sleeved shirt from Target. Again, it's not quite one that Kaylee wears in the series, but it's tie-dyed and it has flowers. It looks like something she would wear.
That's it, for now. I'm still practicing putting my hair up into those buns she has in the pilot. I'm getting better, I swear.

Yeah Spain is great; one thing I really like is that it doesn't matter whether you're in the city or the countryside, it's just as wonderful! Just in a different way in each. Most places in the world people prefer either the city or the country, but Spain has it all.
